Currently looking for a Credentialing Specialist to support the credentialing and/or re-credentialing processes for applicants and members of the Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals. Initial applicants and re-appointment applications are processed in accordance with established policies, rules and regulations, bylaws, and regulatory governmental standards.
Serves as liaison and provides support to members of the Medical Staff, Allied Health Professionals, hospital administration, clinical departments and Medical Staff Offices regarding the credentialing and/or re-credentialing process. Maintains required productivity rate at or above the departmental standards.

Updates and maintains current applications status in the database by documenting relevant dates, pending items, actions, and communications in the applicable areas for credentialing and re-credentialing process. Responsible for communications/notification to practitioner to ensure all application elements are obtained.
Reports to manager/supervisor any adverse and/or notable responses found during the credentialing and/or re-credentialing process.
Maintains a comprehensive, current and accurate centralized credentialing database and electronic file. Scans relevant documents and uploads them into the credentialing database utilizing the appropriate methods and nomenclatures.
Maintains application, reappointment and privilege process for assigned providers to ensure that applicable time frames and deadlines are adhered to.
Participates in continuous quality improvement initiatives and seeks ways to improvements initiatives and seeks ways to improve process, procedures and increase efficiently to their requests.
Maintains positive rapport with members of the Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals and their office staff and responds efficiently to their requests.
