ELA/Reading Teacher 9 – 12
The ELA/Reading Teacher is responsible for the daily instructional delivery of curriculum, assessment, and classroom management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement the School curriculum for assigned grade levels and subjects
- Grade essays, research papers, and open-ended response items while providing feedback to students
- Develop short term and annual goals, based on identified student needs
- Demonstrate knowledge of state standards, testing requirements, and graduation requirements within the core content
- Maintain confidentiality
Qualifications
- Applicable Florida Teacher Certification
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum of three to five years’ of exemplary teaching experience in the classroom
- Must be able to work flexible hours to meet the needs of students
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Experience working with at-risk student population in some capacity preferred
