Admin with Inventory & Warehouse experience

Full Time: 40 hours per week / $16.00 – $18.00/hr

Our client, a leading Fashion Jewelry store located in Oakland Park, FL, is looking for an Inventory Specialist.  This position will perform the inventory control, material handling and warehousing functions required in the receiving, quality control, processing, storing, moving, packing, and shipping of parts, materials, equipment and supplies.

Minimum Requirement Qualifications:

• Typically 2+ years of experience in warehouse, stockroom, and/or material handling

• Computer skills necessary to operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, inventory management, and web-based applications

• Planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize, assign, and coordinate workload of assigned area and employees within a multiple project setting

• Interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals, departments, customers, vendors, and management

• Demonstrated leadership ability

• Verbal and written communication skills

• Able to lift up to 45lbs

• Must have reliable transportation

Qualifications

Principal Duties:

• Perform material handling operations, for example, inventory, shipping/receiving, and inspection, to ensure inventory control and accuracy

• Assist the team in resolving complex inventory discrepancies to determine root causes of inventory

• Cycle count existing inventory to insure locations and quantities are accurate.

• Receiving inventory and shipping inventory

• Maintain inventory records and perform inventory counts

• Preparing and completing warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule

• Evaluating inventory to ensure inventory goals

• Oversee inventory cycle counts and reconcile physical inventory versus inventory record in ERP

• Maintain inventory cycle count and physical inventory programs

• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Computer skills necessary to input and retrieve data for inventory management and tracking

• Microsoft Office, Excel experience a must

• Thorough knowledge of cycle count, perpetual, and work-in-progress inventory audits

• Thorough knowledge of proper packaging for transporting consumer goods
